As part of our continuing commitment to our residents' health, The Woodlands at Furman has partnered with Heritage Healthcare, a premier rehabilitation provider, and is proud to offer rehabilitation services in our therapy room or in the comfort of our own residents' homes.
Rehabilitation services include:
- Physical therapy
Where residents can benefit from therapeutic exercise, muscle strengthening and reeducation, transfer techniques, stair climbing, gait and balance training, and other innovative treatment programs
- Speech and language therapy
Where we evaluate each resident's language, speech, voice, and swallowing ability, customizing a treatment approach based on the latest techniques and modalities
- Occupational therapy
Which focuses on the training of fine motor skills to help residents accomplish their day-to-day activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating
