Troy Cannaday, Executive Director. Mr. Cannaday has been with Greystone and The Woodlands at Furman since June of 2008. As executive director, Mr. Cannaday is responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Woodlands at Furman and The Arboretum at The Woodlands. Formerly, he served in a variety of positions with Life Care Services, LLC, including associate administrator, administrator, assistant executive director, and executive director. Before joining Life Care Services, Mr. Cannaday was a certified therapeutic recreation specialist in settings such as CCRC, hospitals, and rehabilitation hospitals. Mr. Cannaday received a B.S. from Lake Superior State University and an M.B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University and holds nursing home administrator licenses in two states.

 

Sena Bolton, Director of Sales. Ms. Bolton joined The Woodlands at Furman in December of 2009. Ms. Bolton oversees sales and marketing at The Woodlands at Furman and The Arboretum at The Woodlands. She received bachelor of science and master of social work degrees from the University of Tennessee.  With over 15 years of experience in the senior housing industry, Ms. Bolton has worked in various sales and marketing capacities in skilled nursing, assisted living , independent living, and CCRCs.

 

Sana Brown, RN, MSN, NHA, Director of Nursing Services. Mrs. Brown has direct oversight of all nursing functions throughout the continuum of care at The Arboretum at The Woodlands. Mrs. Brown has 14 years of director/assistant director experience in areas of skilled nursing/rehabilitation and hospice, and she has served as a long-term care surveyor for the state of South Carolina. In July 2009, Mrs. Brown became licensed as a nursing home administrator. Mrs. Brown received her bachelor of science in nursing from South Carolina State University in 1995 and earned a master’s in nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2004.

 

Mike Bursavich, Plant Operations Director. Mr. Bursavich began his position with The Woodlands at Furman in September of 2008. As plant operations director, Mr. Bursavich is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance, grounds, security, and housekeeping departments. He also serves as the chairman of the safety committee. Mr. Bursavich has over 10 years experience working in the CCRC environment. Prior to working in senior housing, Mr. Bursavich worked in both commercial and industrial management/maintenance operations.

 

James H. Mack, Jr., Director of Health Services. Mr. Mack has direct oversight for the operations of The Arboretum at The Woodlands. He is a dually licensed administrator in the state of South Carolina for long-term care facilities and community residential care facilities. Prior to joining The Arboretum, he worked as an operational consultant and interim administrator specializing in facility turn-around projects. Mr. Mack has over 20 years of health care experience, serving as a business analyst for the Greenville Hospital System, where he had financial oversight of four service lines, the heart center, the cancer treatment center, clinical support services, and the women and children’s outreach programs. Before the Greenville Hospital System, Mr. Mack was employed by the AnMed Health System as director of construction management for the system and director of operations for the new ambulatory outpatient diagnostic center. Mr. Mack has worked as a health care consultant, writing operational strategic plans, and worked as a project manager and estimator in the construction industry, eventually owning a construction company prior to a career change to health care. He received his B.A. from Clemson University and a masters in health services administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. He is Lean Six Sigma certified and holds Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

 

Andrea Payment, Lifestyles Director. Mrs. Payment has been with The Woodlands at Furman since January 2009. As the lifestyles director, Mrs. Payment is accountable for the daily entertainment and activities that enhance and improve the lives of the residents. Previously, she served as executive director with the Greer Cultural Arts Council receiving the 2008/2009 City of Greer Female of the Year award. Prior to that she was the district director (covering upstate SC and western NC) with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where they finished fourth in the nation in funds raised to fight neuromuscular diseases. Mrs. Payment received a B.S. from Charleston Southern University.   

 

Edward J. Schopf, Dining Services Director. Mr. Schopf has been with The Woodlands at Furman team since December of 2008. Mr. Schopf is a career hospitality industry professional with a degree from the American Culinary Federation, a bachelors of science degree in hotel restaurant management from  Pennsylvania State University, and a master’s of science in education from Bob Jones University.   Mr. Schopf’s professional work experience has been with boutique resort hotels including The Hotel Hershey, The Woodstock Inn, The Kapalua Bay Hotel, The Cloisters at Sea Island, and The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach.

 

N. Faye Tidwell, Business Office Manager.  Mrs. Tidwell has been with The Woodlands at Furman since January 2009.  As business office manager, her primary responsibility is financial accounting services which include preparation and maintenance of financial schedules for Greystone, assisting with monthly financial reports and annual budget preparation, maintenance of the general ledger, cash management, coordinating processing of payroll, assisting with resident closing, and supervision of concierge administrative and billing accounting positions.  Prior to joining The Woodlands at Furman, Mrs. Tidwell provided accounting and payroll services for over 12 years to various companies primarily in the automotive industry.  Mrs. Tidwell received her bachelor of science in business administration from The University of Missouri, St. Louis.
