Below are descriptions of several positions: Server: Takes meal/drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner. Maintains knowledge of all specials and general description of all food items and explains to residents or guests. Sets up and cleans the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards. The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Utility: Operates dishwashing machine to properly wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment. Cleans production equipment. Removes waste from building on a regular basis. The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Driver: Drives vehicle from community area to destination according to assigned schedule. Assists disabled passengers in and out of vehicle, secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip. Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service. Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and performs other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent, current commercial drivers license (CDL) is required. Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting. Interacts with guests, residents and staff in a friendly and courteous manner. Registered Nurse: Provides general nursing care to residents in the retirement community and health center. Provides supervision to LPNs, Certified Nursing Aides, and others as assigned to assure delivery of consistently high quality care to residents. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred; and/or one to three years related experience and/or education; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered Nurse license in good standing with South Carolina. The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 190 pounds with assistance of a second employee and/or mechanical devices. Must be able to push up to 350 pounds (wheelchair). The employee may occasionally be required to lift greater than 190 pounds with the assistance of additional staff and/or a mechanical lift. Licensed Practical Nurse: Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons in the retirement community and health center. Provides supervision to Certified Nursing Aides and others as assigned to assure delivery of consistently high quality care to residents. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred; one to two years related experience and/or education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing in South Carolina. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 190 pounds with assistance from a second employee and/or mechanical devices. Must be able to push up to 350 pounds (wheelchair). The employee may occasionally be required to lift greater than 190 pounds with the assistance of additional staff and/or mechanical lift. Certified Nursing Assistant (2nd shift, 3pm-11pm): Cares for residents under direction of nursing and medical staff. Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents' needs. Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents. Serves and collects food trays and feeds residents requiring help. Transports residents or assists residents to walk. Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone. Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed. One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Nurse's Aide certification in South Carolina. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 190 pounds with assistance of a second employee and/or mechanical devices. Must be able to push up to 350 pounds (wheelchair). The employee may occasionally be required to lift greater than 190 pounds with the assistance of additional staff and/or mechanical lift. Cook: Must be a team player who is respectful and kind. The applicant should show a willingness to mingle with the residents and be available to work all days and shifts. The applicant must demonstrate an interest in growth and learning in an expanding business. Works closely with the chef and sous-chef in the following areas: willingness to work any and all shifts are required; must have the ability to follow and adjust standardized recipes; must be able to pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment; prefer person with some cooking experience or culinary school background; friendly and respectful; family-type atmosphere.
